Executing innovative projects in an effort to support the startup ecosystem and develop innovative ideas into commercial activity, Kuveyt Türk has been rewarded for its activities in this field. At Corporate & Startup Day held with the cooperation of Özyeğin University, Endeavor Türkiye, TOBB Young Entrepreneurs Board, Entrepreneur Institutions Platform and Bizz Consulting, Kuveyt Türk has been awarded with “Startup-Friendly Company” prize.
Innovative and leading participation bank in Türkiye, Kuveyt Türk won a prize at Corporate & Startup Day recognized as the largest even in its field, where the leaders leading the world of startups, the companies and startups come together. Numerous visitors have attended the Corporate & Startup Day held at Wyndham Grand Istanbul Levent on April 4, with the cooperation of Özyeğin University, Endeavor Türkiye, TOBB Young Entrepreneurs Board, Entrepreneur Institutions Platform and Bizz Consulting. Inspiring startup projects have been shared at the event where Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade made a speech. At the event where the institutions and companies making contribution to startup ecosystem, Kuveyt Türk has been awarded with “Startup-Friendly Company” prize. The prize has been handed to Dr. Selman Ortaköy, Operation Group Director and Lonca Board Member, on behalf of Kuveyt Türk.
Established the first R&D Center in 2010 by a bank in Türkiye and being the only bank having two R&D centers, Kuveyt Türk makes efforts special for startups. More particularly, Kuveyt Türk that provides the startups with training, mentoring, grants, multisite incubation service and R&D support at Lonca Entrepreneurship Center founded by it in 2017 has since contributed to more than 30 startups and more than 100 entrepreneurs.
Teknogirişim Venture Capital Fund with a capital base of 10 million TL, managed by Kuveyt Türk’s subsidiary KT Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş. makes investments into startup companies passing a certain stage and injects capital to such companies. It is not a prerequisite to become a Lonca entrepreneur in order to apply to this fund, but Lonca entrepreneurs may enjoy certain privileges.
