Continuing its sustainability efforts with a focus on environmental and social impact, Kuveyt Türk planted 1,000 olive saplings in Kilis in cooperation with the Environmental Organizations Solidarity Association (ÇEKUD). The saplings, planted on behalf of customers who used Kuveyt Türk's electric vehicle financing throughout the year, highlight the positive value that environmentally responsible choices create for both nature and society.
Abdurrahman Delipoyraz, Executive Vice President responsible for SME Banking at Kuveyt Türk, together with the Bank's senior management, gathered at the afforestation site in Kocaeli as part of the project carried out in cooperation with ÇEKUD and participated in a commemorative tree planting ceremony. Through the planting of saplings on behalf of customers who used electric vehicle financing, Kuveyt Türk aims to encourage low carbon transportation while also contributing to the economic development of the region.
Environmental Contributions Creating Economic Value
As a long lasting agricultural product with high added value, olive trees provide not only environmental benefits but also become an important source of economic value that supports regional development over time. Taking into account Kilis's significant potential for olive production, the project aims to create sustainable long term value for local communities, particularly those affected by the earthquake and regional developments.
"We Are Transforming Environmentally Responsible Choices into Lasting Value"
Commenting on the project, Abdurrahman Delipoyraz, Executive Vice President responsible for SME Banking at Kuveyt Türk, stated that electric vehicle financing is viewed not only as a financing model that supports low emission transportation, but also as part of a sustainable transformation that generates social value. "We wanted to celebrate the environmentally responsible choice made by our customers who use electric vehicle financing by planting saplings that will create lasting value for nature and society while generating economic benefits for local communities. We believe that the 1,000 olive saplings we planted in Kilis will not only increase green areas in the years ahead but will also contribute to economic production. In line with our sustainability approach, we will continue developing projects that transform our financial services into environmental and social value."
Through its sustainable finance practices, Kuveyt Türk encourages its customers to make environmentally responsible choices while aiming to leave a more livable world for future generations through projects that generate social and economic value.
