Kuveyt Türk, one of Türkiye’s leading participation financial institutions, has successfully gone live with its e-Receipt integration in accordance with the guidelines published by the Turkish Revenue Administration, becoming the first participation bank to implement the e-Receipt system. Across the entire banking sector, it is the third bank to deploy this infrastructure, once again demonstrating its leadership in digital transformation.
As part of the project, which was implemented through the joint efforts of Kuveyt Türk’s business units and the application development teams of its subsidiary Architecht, the newly designed e-Receipt infrastructure has been successfully adapted for more than 400 receipt types.
Contributing to Efficiency Through Paperless Banking
Thanks to the system, developed in compliance with the standards established by the Turkish Revenue Administration, electronic receipts will be generated in full integration with banking transactions. In addition, the reporting documents required to be submitted to the Revenue Administration will be automatically generated and transmitted electronically.
The project also establishes a robust digital archiving infrastructure through electronically stored documents on the server. With the introduction of a mobile approval mechanism, the receipt process is expected to reduce paper consumption by up to 80%. This transformation will make a significant contribution to Kuveyt Türk’s sustainability and paperless banking vision while also delivering substantial efficiency gains by reducing printing, consumables, and physical archive costs.
Access to Receipts Without Visiting a Branch
With the new system, customers will be able to access their receipts easily through digital channels, largely eliminating the need for physically stamped and signed receipts. Electronically issued receipts, including tax collection receipts and customs duty payment receipts, will constitute official documents that are legally valid before public authorities.
In addition, customers will be able to present original archived receipts in bulk through digital channels for audits, financial controls, or official submission processes. With the implementation of the e-Receipt system, paper and print consumption will decrease, while physical archiving costs will be eliminated. Workforce efficiency will improve, and official processes will be digitized. As a result, both the customer experience and operational processes will benefit from a simpler structure aligned with the principles of next-generation banking.
