Kuveyt Türk continues to support, as it did in last six years, the Support for Hope Project designed by the Kanserli Çocuklara Umut (Hope for Children With Cancer) Foundation to raise awareness of cancer and give hope to children undergoing treatment of cancer.  As part of the campaign held by Kuveyt Türk under the slogan “Growing with hope to increase ones to millions” in the week of 23 April, this bank donated TL 1.00 to the Family Home Project of the above mentioned foundation (KAÇUV) per transaction performed by its customers using their cash cards.

aign in the week of 23 April e very year since 2013 to support the Support for Hope Project applied by KAÇUV, Kuveyt Türk Participation Bank donated TL 485,748 this year to the second Family Home Project of KAÇUV. The check was presented by Aslan Demir, Deputy Managing Director Strategy of Kuveyt Türk, to Prof. Inci Yıldız, Chairwoman of the Board of KAÇUV, at a ceremony. As part of the campaign held by Kuveyt Türk under the slogan “Growing with hope to increase ones to millions” from April 23 to 29, this bank donated TL 1.00 to the second Family Home Project of KAÇUV per transaction performed by its customers using their cash cards named Saglam Nakit cards.  Total sum of the donations made by Kuveyt Türk to date to raise awareness of cancer and to support children with cancer now stands at TL 2,114,000.

Aslan Demir, Deputy Managing Director Strategy of Kuveyt Türk, said: “Kuveyt Türk supports the projects it believes will benefit this nation and country, under our slogan ‘Growing with our values’. Devoting itself to its values from the heart, this bank walks together with this country’s people in every step it takes, and does its best to help the people in need. In this context, we have been organizing a campaign in the week of 23 April every year since 2013 to support the family home project of KAÇUV, which we consider very precious. And we provide that support through a donation as small as TL 1, which most of us considers just a trifle.  Those donations of TL 1 added up to TL 484,748 as in the proverb ‘little and often fills the purse’. Total donation made by this campaign to date now stands at TL 2,144,000. We are very happy to act as a vessel for such great charity.  We will continue to perform this task to support children with cancer and their families.  We wish all children with cancer a quick recovery.”

Prof. Inci Yıldız, Chairwoman of the Board of KAÇUV, said: “Treatment of cancer in children requires a very special and meticulous process. And all members of their families have to experience that process together with them at the same time.  Destitute families who have to take their children to Istanbul for treatment find themselves in a position very difficult indeed.  KAÇUV started its first family home in 2012, now this second family home represents our effort to help those families as much as we can.  It is a pleasure to thank Kuveyt Türk, which has been always by our side with its donations and moral support and which gives us a helping hand in building this second family home. Kuveyt Türk’s support and interest confirmed once again that benefaction and solidarity are the essence of this land and spread like the waves in a sea.  It is our greatest wish to see the number and support of institutions which respect this nation’s values, like Kuveyt Türk, increase.”
