Standing out with its innovative products and services, Kuveyt Türk started to receive applications for its Hackathon Contest held for the third time. With this year’s theme “banking of future”, anyone can apply to the contest individually or as a team. The contest for which applications will be received till 3 April 2019 at www.kt-invent.com.tr. will be held on April 13-14 at Kuveyt Türk Bank Operation Center. A total of 110 thousand TL will be awarded to the top five in the contest including 40 thousand TL for the winner.
Applications for Hackathon Contest held by Kuveyt Türk in an effort to contribute to the development of new projects in FinTech and banking areas have started to be received. The theme of the contest held for the third time so far has been specified as “banking of future”.
Open to anyone who is willing to offer new generation solutions in FinTech and banking including software developers, graphic designers, interface designers and project managers, Hackathon will receive applications till 3 April 2019 at
www.kt-invent.com.tr.
A total of 110 thousand TL will be given to the winners at this year’s Hackathon Contest to be held at Kuveyt Türk’s Bank Operation Center Şekerpınar between April 13-14, 2019. The winning project will be entitled to receive the award of 40 thousand TL, the second 30 thousand TL, the third 20 thousand TL, and the fourth and fifth 10 thousand TL each.
Codes are written using Kuveyt Türk’s APIs
Eligibility criteria include that the project be generated for the first time at Hackathon event of Kuveyt Türk and that it has not been submitted at any other event organized by other institutions before. APIs to be used for coding are provided to the competitors prior to Hackathon. Kuveyt Türk recommends the team has at least one software developer so that the APIs can be used.
Travel expenses for the competitors willing to join Hackathon from outside Istanbul shall be borne by Kuveyt Turk in an amount up to 200 TL per person. In order to benefit this offer, participants must first register for the event, admitted to Hackathon and then send an email to hackathon@kt-invent.com.tr asking for reimbursement of their travel expenses.
In the previous Hackathon contests, Kuveyt Türk had focused on “Digital banking” and “Financial tecnologies”.
What is Hackathon?
Hackathon (hack day, hackfest or cadefest) is an event where the participants including computer programmers, graphic designers, interface designers and project managers compete against other teams in order to intensively develop software projects.
