The Lonca Entrepreneurship Center, established by Kuveyt Türk, one of Türkiye's leading participation finance institutions, has taken another important step through its Lonca Global Program, which supports startups in expanding into international markets. Following an open call under the program, five selected startups participated in London Tech Week, held in London from 8 to 12 June 2026, where they had the opportunity to meet global investors, technology companies, and business partners while developing international collaborations. Following the evaluation conducted by the Lonca Entrepreneurship Center, Odito, Visiomex, Marqby, Compuvi, and Vendorside were selected to represent Türkiye at one of the world's most prestigious technology events.
On 9 June, Emre Memiş, Group Manager of Digital Banking at Kuveyt Türk, addressed participants on a dedicated stage featuring the selected startups, sharing the strategic objectives of the Lonca Global Program and its vision for the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The five startups then took the stage one by one to deliver their presentations and pitches to the global audience. Throughout the event, extensive networking activities were carried out with universities and other entrepreneurship centers within the ecosystem. The startups attracted significant interest from international visitors by showcasing their products and services at the exhibition area. In addition, strategic partnership meetings were held throughout the week with leading global ecosystem partners at Lonca's corporate exhibition stand.
"We Brought Our Startups to the Global Stage"
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Okan Acar, Executive Vice President responsible for Digital Banking and Payment Systems at Kuveyt Türk, said: "Through our Lonca Entrepreneurship Center, we aim not only to help startups grow and scale, but also to enable them to become organizations that create value on a global scale. With this vision, we launched the Lonca Global Program and brought our startups to one of the world's most important technology events. London Tech Week provided an outstanding opportunity for our startups. The connections they established, the experience they gained, and the visibility they achieved will make a significant contribution to their global growth journey. We see opportunities like this not only as a means of helping our entrepreneurs succeed in international markets, but also as a strategic transformation that strengthens our country's technology production capacity and technology exports. Our goal is to support innovative technologies developed in Türkiye in finding opportunities in global markets, creating value on an international scale, and making a greater contribution to Türkiye's high value added technology exports. In the coming period, we will continue expanding our support to help our entrepreneurs strengthen their presence in international markets."
Comprehensive Global Support for Startups
As part of the Lonca Global Program, the selected startups received comprehensive pre event support covering global market readiness, acceleration, and presentation skills. During the event, they were also provided with complimentary exhibition booths. In addition, grant support was provided to cover travel and accommodation expenses, making it easier for the startups to participate on the global stage. Through this support model, Lonca aims not only to help startups grow in the domestic market but also to enable them to play an active role in the international ecosystem and scale their businesses sustainably.
A Growth Journey from Lonca to the Global Stage
Since 2017, the Lonca Entrepreneurship Center has supported the growth journeys of technology focused startups and has contributed to the development of numerous ventures across a wide range of industries. In addition to providing grants, mentoring, technical infrastructure, and collaboration opportunities, Lonca continues to help startups establish a presence on the international stage through its new globally focused programs. Participation in London Tech Week represents an important part of this vision, as the Lonca Entrepreneurship Center seeks to position its startups as active participants in the global innovation ecosystem.
