A gold plaque and certificate were presented to Kuvey Türk at the ceremony held at the General Directorate of Mehmetçik Foundation.
Realizing many social responsibility projects to protect, improve and preserve all the assets owned by Türkiye under its motto “Growing with national values”, Kuveyt Türk continues to support non-governmental organizations and humanitarian aid campaigns. In this context Kuveyt Türk donated TL 1 million to the Turkish Armed Forces Mehmetçik Foundation which supports both the dependents of military servicemen who were killed in the line of duty and veterans who were injured in the line of duty. At the ceremony held on 24 May 2018 at the General Directorate of Mehmetçik Foundation in Ankara, retired Major General Yaşar Bal, Managing Director of the foundation, presented a gold plaque and certificate to Aslan Demir, Deputy Managing Director Strategy of Kuveyt Türk, for the donation.
During the speech he delivered at the ceremony, Mr. Demir said: “We commemorate the military servicemen who gave their lives to protect our beloved motherland, and wish patience to their families and quick recovery to the injured veterans. Mehmetçik Foundation has always been by the side of veterans and families of martyrs, always provided them with material and moral support. Kuveyt Türk decided to make this donation as a duty of loyalty to the heroic sons of our beloved motherland, who were killed or injured in the line of duty for our country, flag and sacred values. We can sleep in peace in our beds every night, go to work or school every morning and caress our children every day thanks to the military servicemen who never hesitated to sacrifice their lives and blood for their motherland. This donation is just a small appreciation to the resolution and sacrifice of military servicemen who put their lives on the line for the perpetuity of this country, and a humble present for the approaching religious festival. We will continue to be by the side of military servicemen and their families.”
