Kuveyt Türk, the leading and innovative participation bank of Turkey, won two awards in the Best Employers in Turkey 2019 organized by Great Place To Work Institute and considered to be one of the most prestigious events in the field of human resources. As it did in the last year, this bank won both the Best Employer in Turkey and the Best Employer in Finance awards at the 2,000+ Employees category.

Expressing their happinness in winning two awards for the second time in a row, Aslan Demir, Deputy Managing Director Kuveyt Türk HR, Strategy and Digital Transformation, said: “The tasks undertaken by human resources departments of companies today are vastly different from those they did in the past, priorities change fast. Average employee retention time 6.9 years
Emphasizing that they aim to make a difference by giving priority to employee satisfaction in their applications and therefore their average employee retention time has increased, Aslan Demir said: “Statistics as of the end of 2018 indicate that this bank’s average employee retention time is 6.9 years. It was 4.11 years five years ago. It appears that we underwent a visible change in the interim. Today the factor that has the most important effect on the average employee retention time is employee satisfaction.  Average employee retention time is longer on jobs which employees find interesting and challenging and which are synchronized with the developments in the world.  The other major factors are a peaceful working environment, team work,  internal benefits and activities which may be summarized as employee satisfaction.  These major factors are followed by a competitive salary package and a wide-range benefit package held flexible for individual needs. We aim to design the relevant processes in accordance with the requirements of this age, to increase average employee retention time further and to maintain this bank’s position in the list of the Best Employers in Turkey.”

One of the applications most favored by the employees of Kuveyt Türk is Sepetim (My Basket) providing some significantly distinguished benefits.  Here an employee can create a special budget for his/her needs and use it to enjoy different benefits. For example, if an employee does not want to receive the clothing benefit, he/she can transfer that benefit’s budget to BES, or use it for traveling or buying a new cell phone.
 
The Iyi ki Mobil (It’s Good To Be Mobile) application is an interactive platform enabling the employees to communicate with each other.  Celebrations, announcements and video clips are shared on this platform. Thus a content added by any branch located in any part of Turkey is automatically sent to the head office and all other branches.

Discussions called Hasbihal (Chat) are organized to enable the employees to be introduced to the managing director, deputy managing directors and department managers to learn about their experience and to express their views to top management.
