KT Bank AG, Europe’s first participation bank established by Kuveyt Türk in Germany does not charge any money transfers up to 5 thousand euros to Türkiye by our citizens living abroad. Mr. Mehmet Oral, Executive Vive President in Charge of Retail Banking at Kuveyt Türk said, “Our citizens working and living abroad are now able to transfer money to their homeland Türkiye free of charge and value their savings in interest free participation accounts at their homeland.”
KT Bank AG, established in 2015 in Germany as the 100 percent subsidiary of Kuveyt Türk, the leading participation bank of Türkiye, and providing interest-free banking services in the Continental Europe, has launched a brand new service for our citizens living in Europe in cooperation with Kuveyt Türk. KT Bank AG does not charge any money transfers up to 5 thousand euros to Türkiye by our citizens living not only in Germany but any European country as well.
“Free of charge money transfer to continue till the end of year”
Reminding that KT Bank AG is the first participation bank in Europe, Mr. Mehmet Oral, Executive Vive President in Charge of Retail Banking at Kuveyt Türk said, “KT Bank AG, our subsidiary, opened its first branch office in Germany in 2015 and is now offering services for our people living in Europe in its Berlin, Frankfurt, Mannheim and Cologne branch offices based on participation banking principles. We will open Munich branch office soon. In cooperation with KT Bank AG, we, as Kuveyt Türk, are now offering a brand new service for all people no matter whether or not they are our clients. Turkish people living in any European countries, no matter whether or not they are client of KT Bank AG are now able to visit any branch office of KT Bank AG and make free of charge money transfers up to 5 thousand euros to Kuveyt Türk. Above all, they can remit the money to a named recipient in Türkiye, so it is not required for them to be a client of Kuveyt Türk. Our free of charge money transfer service will continue till the end of year. We believe that our citizens living abroad would show great interest in this new service facilitating money transfers to Türkiye.”

Stating that, in addition to Kuveyt Türk’s free of charge service for money transfer from Europe to Türkiye, they have also developed a product referred to as the ‘Our Homeland Account’ for the citizens living abroad and willing to value their savings in Türkiye, Mr. Mehmet Oral said, “Our people living abroad and willing to grow up and value their savings in their homeland may open Our Homeland Account with Kuveyt Türk. They can make free of charge money transfer to such account through KT Bank AG in an amount up to 5 thousand Euros. Our citizens living abroad who are willing to value their savings in TL, Euro, USD and gold participation accounts are able to check their accounts with Kuveyt Türk via mobile and online branch office and make any EFT and money transfers in Türkiye free of charge even if they are not in Türkiye. Additionally, they can trade in forex and precious metals 24 hours weekdays with suitable margins via mobile and online branch office as well as they can benefit leased safe-deposit box at 50 percent discounted prices.”
